If the podcast or video players aren't working, try the following:
I recommend using Firefox (which you can download for free here) instead of Explorer. But if you prefer Explorer, here are some tips for getting the media players to work.
First, make sure JavaScript is enabled. Under the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click the Security tab. Select the Internet icon, then click the Custom Level button at the bottom. Scroll all the way down to the Scripting section. Under 'Active Scripting', make sure the 'Enable' option is selected. Click OK, then Apply, then OK again.
Next, make sure Adobe Shockwave is enabled. Under the Tools menu, select Manage Add-ons, then Enable or Disable Add-ons. Find Shockwave Flash Object in the displayed list. Make sure the 'Enable' option is selected. Click OK.
Sometimes, Explorer will not play media content unless the site is designated as one of your trusted sites. If you trust my website, you can add it to the list. To do that, open the Tools menu and select Internet Options. Click the Security tab. Select the Trusted Sites icon, then click the Sites button. Type 'http://www.robertakwok.com' under 'Add this website to this zone.' Make sure the box 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone' is unchecked. Click Add, then Close, then OK.
For these changes to take effect, you may need to restart your browser.
Explorer may also ask for explicit permission before using plug-ins. Look for a yellow bar at the top of the page that says something like 'This website wants to run the following add-on: QuickTime from Apple Inc. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here.' Click the yellow bar, select Run ActiveX Control, and click Run.
